Which Nail Colour Should I Chose?
This is entirely personal but most brides opt for the more natural shades for their wedding day. From most of the big nail houses, I have heard it said that French manicures are a thing of the past with block colour being a huge trend this season. If you do want a more vintage colour then pure red is a great look. It is not for every bride, but certainly for those who have chosen less traditional wedding attire, 20’s, 40’s or 50’s in particular.
For long lasting nails that are instantly dry and won’t chip for a whole 3 weeks, I recommend the bride and her bridal party chose the 3 week manicure. The look with be super shiny and glossy and will last you all the way through your honeymoon too.
Caring For Your Nails Before Your Wedding.
There is a huge amount you can do in the run up to your wedding. Here’s some secrets that will insure heavenly hands and feet for the day.
- Keep a nail oil handy and apply it regularly throughout the day. Lots of different brands offer Vit E oil which is good, but I recommend an oil that contains neem. Neem is excellent for helping brittle nails become stronger and will also soften those keep those pescky hang nails in check.
- Moistures your hands regularly to keep the skin supply and soft. I always chose ranges that are natural rather than the cheaper brands that contain many harsh chemicals.
- I also recommend having regular manicures and pedicures in the lead up to your day. Realistically you could have one per month for 3 months prior to walking up the aisle. Let the professionals get the right shape for you. Don’t try to do this yourself. There is a tendency for people to make their nails round, weakening the nails rather than keeping them more square to prevent breakages before the day.

I don’t know about you, but I certainly remember growing up thinking I’d never get my own high heels! These parties are fun, fun, fun and a make a total change from trips to the cinema.
